SFBall 22: 3 Day Sci-Fi Convention held at the Grand Harbour Hotel, Southampton

This years SFBall included such guests as Sabrina Bartlett, Annette Badland, James Moran, Robert Rankin, Lee Bradley along with a few Star Trek actors namely Connor Trinneer, Dominic Keating, Casey Biggs and Vaughn Armstrong

The event included its usual mix of fun with quizzes, parties, costuming, dealers’ rooms, guest talks to watch and other such fun things to take part in.

Highlights over the course of the weekend included the cabaret which was performed by Casey Biggs and Vaughn Armstrong (who along with being Star Trek actors also make up part of the Enterprise Blues Band) It was also great seeing all the costumes people were wearing including the amazing outfit Laura Perkins made for the Gotham themed night, was so good an image of her was published in the next Starburst magazine.

During the weekend the XO drafted me into doing the tea dueling (which I won) and taking part in a game the SFBall staff had set up called Geeking For Gold. It wasn’t as easy as it looked but after getting to the last round I finally won with a Star Wars question (thank goodness it was a question from a TV show or film I watch)

It's definitely an event I think everyone should try out at least once and if money allows I hope to be back their again next year for the 23rd SFBall with the XO to do it all over again
