When this chapter / group was first formed there were a few charities that we looked at supporting, but after narrowing it down and actually having direct contact with the charities themselves, we settled on Starlight Children's Foundation UK.
Starlight Children’s Foundation is a national children’s charity that is dedicated to brightening the lives of children and teenagers suffering from a serious or terminal illness. To find out more information please check out their website at starlight.org.uk
That was then, now though (after speaking with members within the group) we now support another charity as well, called Crohn's & Colitis UK. We have a few members who suffer with one of the two IBD ( Inflammatory Bowl Diseases ) and we feel it is a worthy cause that doesn't always get the attention and funding it deserves.

There are many charities out there, and while we can’t support everyone, it has been our philosophy that it is better to do something rather than nothing.
Although there are occasions where we support other small charities (usually at small one day events) when we raise any money for the two charities above, we always do a 50/50 split on any and all money raised.
